A very sad moment at a wedding. The bride was entering the spirit-warming ceremony when the police called to inform her that her brother had lost his motorcycle and died after riding his motorcycle to follow the groom’s relative who had gotten lost. The mother was shocked to lose her son.
At 9:00 a.m. on October 11, 2014, Mr. Jakkrit, aged 25, died from a motorcycle accident where he lost control on the roadside between Ban Yon Cha and Ban Dong Krathing roads, Tambon Ban Dan, Amphoe Ban Dan, Buriram Province, approximately 2 km from the village. The incident deeply saddened the family and relatives because at the time of the accident, it was the wedding of the deceased’s younger sister while the groom and bride were in the process of welcoming the spirit.
The news team spoke with Mrs. San, 54 years old, the mother of the deceased. She said that during the wedding ceremony, a phone suddenly rang. On the other end of the line, it was a police officer saying, ‘Mom, please be patient. Your son lost control of
his motorcycle and died on the curve.’ After that, she didn’t know what to do, even though the ceremony was just beginning. Before that, nothing unusual or she had a premonition.
Ms. Sai Fon, 20, the younger sister of the deceased, said that on the morning of the wedding, the first procession of the groom arrived in front of the house, but the procession of the groom’s father and relatives had not arrived yet, saying, “We’re lost. Please send someone to pick us up.” Then her brother rode a motorcycle to pick him up, but he disappeared. Until the procession of the groom’s father arrived at the house, after that she didn’t think much of it until her mother told her that her brother had died. She admitted that the atmosphere after that was indescribable, a mixture of happiness and sadness.
