“Ms. Golf” Faces Detention at Central Criminal Court Over Corruption Charges

Bangkok: Investigators have taken “Ms. Golf” to the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases for her first detention. She appeared stressed, with furrowed brows, and refrained from responding to any questions, choosing instead to raise her hands in apology.

According to Thai News Agency, the investigation officer from the Anti-Corruption Division, known as PP.P.D., has requested the court to detain “Ms. Golf” on charges related to supporting an official in improper conduct under Section 157, aiding an official in embezzling property under Section 147, receiving stolen property, and money laundering. These charges stem from her alleged involvement in receiving 380,000 baht from Wat Chujittharam in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

While being escorted into custody, “Ms. Golf” maintained a stressed demeanor and did not respond to inquiries, only offering gestures of apology. The investigator has initially opposed bail due to concerns about the suspect fleeing. The case is also connected to other incidents potentially involving numerous victims and significant damages.
