New Opportunity Party Denies Allegations of Energy Capital Group Support

Bangkok: The New Opportunity Party has firmly denied allegations suggesting that it is backed by an energy capital group, countering claims made by Mr. Witthaya Kaewparadai, deputy leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party. The party insists it is formed by knowledgeable individuals committed to driving sustainable development in Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Artitjan Kuharuangrong, spokesman for the New Opportunity Party, issued a statement to clarify allegations made by Mr. Witthaya Kaewparadai. Witthaya had accused the New Opportunity Party of being influenced by an ‘energy business capital group’ and linked it to conflicts within the energy political circle. Mr. Artitjan emphasized that the party is not driven by any economic interests but rather by individuals with genuine expertise in politics and government administration, aiming to solve economic issues systematically.

Mr. Artit Chan reiterated the party’s commitment to working for the people and developing the country’s infrastructure. He highlighted the party’s approach to understanding the unique geography and context of each region in Thailand, allowing for the formulation of sustainable and targeted development policies.

The spokesman criticized Mr. Witthaya’s allegations as a distortion of facts and called for truth and mutual respect in the political arena. He pointed out that political work should not involve discrediting other parties to diminish their political value.

Mr. Artit Chan also addressed the tendency of some politicians to blame capital groups whenever faced with criticism, describing it as a diversion and a lack of responsibility. He urged for transparency and public participation in the political process, emphasizing the importance of demonstrating genuine efforts for the people’s benefit.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Artitjan urged the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party’s leadership to focus on tangible work to avoid public doubt.
