HANOI — In a significant move to drive innovation in Vietnam, the National Innovation Center (NIC), in partnership with BambuUP and Global PR Hub, hosted the 2023 Innovation Leaders’ Forum on October 30 in Hanoi. The event, themed “Leading Corporations and Enterprises Spearheading Innovation”, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including business leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, all playing pivotal roles in the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. According to Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Do Thanh Trung, major corporations and businesses are key components of the innovation ecosystem, playing a critical role in influencing Vietnam’s structural economic shifts.
According to Vietnam News Agency, During the event, several memoranda of understanding were signed between NIC, the State, and major corporations, establishing a new model of innovation collaboration in Vietnam. This partnership aims to strengthen the role of large corporations and companies in the growing innovation ecosystem, acknowledging their increasing importance.
In conjunction with the forum, the Open Innovation Handbook For Enterprises was officially introduced. The handbook, published through a collaboration between NIC and BambuUP, compiles stories and experiences of innovation from leading businesses. It serves as a “key to success” for leaders and employees, offering insights on processes, tools, and methods to foster creativity, breakthrough ideas, and successful implementation within a business environment.
The 2023 Innovation Leaders’ Forum is a part of the larger Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition (VIIE) 2023, which runs from October 28 to November 1, and is hosted by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
