Olympic weightlifting hero thanks Channel 9 MCOT


Olympic medal hero, weightlifting, visits MCOT to thank the media for always reporting the news and having a fun conversation.

Mr. Phathiyuth Jaisawang, Acting Director-General of MCOT Public Company Limited, together with Mr. Nattaphong Phattaraphong, Assistant Director-General of Thai News Agency, and Mr. Suwit Sappha-udom, Assistant Director-General of Radio Office, welcomed the executives and weightlifting athletes of the Thai national team who will compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, consisting of ‘Fang’ Thiraphong Silachai, Silver Medalist in Men’s Weightlifting, 61 kg category, ‘Wave’ Weerapol Wichuma, Silver Medalist in 73 kg category, ‘Oil’ Surajana Kambao, Bronze Medalist in 49 kg category, and ‘Som’ Duangaksorn Jaidee, who ranked 6th in the over 81 kg category, and the delegation traveled to thank the media of Thai News Agency, Channel 9 MCOT, for their continuous reporting of the news.

In addition, the four of them have participated in various MCOT programs, including the “Khui Zap Show” p
rogram, the “9th Stadium” program of the Thai News Agency sports news team, and the radio program of FM99 Active Radio.

During the interview on the 9th Stadium program, the 4 of them talked in a friendly and fun manner about various stories, including the background of their success, their likes, and their goals for the future. The cute side of the 4 of them, who may seem tough on the outside, but when they saw the dolls as a gift from Top-Sares Limkangwanmongkol, a former fencing athlete for the Thai national team and currently a sports reporter for Channel 9, the 4 of them became as happy as little children.
