Open the railway travel calendar until February 2025


The Ministry of Transport has released a railway travel calendar until February 2025, hoping to stimulate the economy and distribute income to local communities. Tickets will go on sale nationwide on 8 October.

Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, opened the railway travel calendar, inviting tourists to experience a special journey with the Royal Blossom tourist train, the KIHA 183 tourist train, and the historical steam locomotive with a variety of travel routes. You can choose to travel to your heart’s content every Saturday and Sunday, both in the morning and evening and overnight stays. Advance tickets will be sold nationwide on October 8, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.

st train, the KIHA 183 tourist train, and the historic steam locomotive train, which will be available for 5 months, every Saturday and Sunday, and on special occasions, for both day trips and overnight stays, so that tourists can plan and choose their favorite travel programs and trips from October 2024 to February 2025. The travel programs are available in a variety of formats, catering to all groups of tourists and lifestyles, including those who like to relax, those who like to go on adventures, and those who like to go on cultural trips, including:

1. Royal Blossom tourist train that will take tourists into a world of romance and comfort amidst beautiful scenery on both sides of the train through 180-degree wide glass. Service for a day trip, price 1,799 baht per person (including breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks, tour services, accident insurance, air-conditioned bus fare)

The KIHA 183 sightseeing train is a Japanese-style train, suitable for those who love classic travel. It offers a day trip for
1,499 baht and an overnight stay for 3,999 baht (including breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks, tour services, accident insurance, and air-conditioned bus fare. In the case of overnight stays, accommodation is included).

The historical steam locomotive train is a special occasion train, on 23 October 2024, Bangkok – Ayutthaya route and 5 December 2024, Bangkok – Chachoengsao route. Service is provided for a morning – evening return trip. Fares for a 3rd class ordinary car are 329 baht, 2nd class air-conditioned car is 529 baht, and 2nd class air-conditioned car (O-Top) is 799 baht. There is no tour service. Snacks and drinks are provided on the train.

Mr. Veerit Amrapal, Governor of the State Railway of Thailand, said that the State Railway of Thailand has joined hands with Reckitt Benckiser (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to bring Dettol cleaning products such as shower cream, hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, and wet wipes to maintain the cleanliness of the trains and tourists to ensure a fun and hygienic trip thr
oughout the journey. Tourists are invited to experience traveling on three special trains that will make train travel a special time on various routes filled with the beauty and uniqueness of attractive cities. You can choose your favorite travel style every month. It also supports and promotes domestic tourism, which generates income distribution to local areas and creates sustainable strength for the country’s grassroots economy.

Interested tourists can purchase tickets in advance from 8 October 2024 at 8:30 a.m. onwards. Tickets can be booked at all train stations nationwide and through the State Railway of Thailand’s D-Ticket online ticket sales channel.
