Songkhla: OR has inaugurated the 'Together Rak at Tha Sao' learning center as part of its commitment to fostering sustainable community development. The opening ceremony, held at Ban Tha Sao in the Sating Mo Subdistrict of Singhanakorn District, saw participation from notable figures including Mr. Suchart Ramas, CEO of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), Mr. Nikom La-ongsiriwong, Director of the Coastal Aquatic Technology and Innovation Research and Development Center, Songkhla Province, and Mr. Anucha Kaewkongtham, Singhanakorn District Chief.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suchart emphasized OR's dedication to sustainable business practices that align with community growth, emphasizing balanced and mutually beneficial development. The 'Rak At Tha Sao' project epitomizes the collaboration between OR employees and the local community, aiming for tangible changes through understanding and sincerity. The success of the initiative is attributed to the cooperative efforts of government bodies, the public sector, and OR, pooling their expertise and resources to nurture community potential. The learning center is envisioned as a model for scalable and sustainable community development. The ceremony highlighted the project's achievements over the past year, which include advancements in fish hatcheries, knowledge transfer on aquatic nurseries, product processing from local materials, and the development of conservation tourism, supported by the Coastal Aquatic Technology and Innovation Research and Development Center and local agencies.

The 'Together Rak at Tha Sao' initiative is a component of the broader 'TOGETHER' project, which OR has been nurturing in the Songkhla Petroleum Depot area since 2022 and will continue through 2025. The project's objective is to transform the Tha Sao community into a self-reliant and resilient community through three main activity groups: Fish Conservation Group, Professional Fisheries Group, and Product Development Group for Career Creation. This initiative serves as a model for collaboration between the business sector and the community, aiming to enhance the quality of life sustainably.
