Bangkok: The PAD group continues to rally near Government House, preparing to escalate the rally after an audio clip of Paethongtarn talking to Hun Sen emerged, with the position of resigning from the position of Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, the Student and People’s Network for Reform of Thailand (SNNRT) continues to rally near Government House to demand that the government stop considering the draft law on entertainment complexes, especially the part related to online gambling and casinos, including escalating the rally over the audio clip of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, talking to Mr. Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of Cambodia.
This morning, people are still gradually coming to join the rally, which will start at noon until midnight. As for the movement, after political activists from many sectors jointly announced their stance yesterday, 3 points: they want Ms. Paethongtarn to resign from the position of Prime Minister, they want political parties to leave the coalition government, and they will gather to show the power of the people on June 28.
Mr. Pichit Chaiyamongkol, the leader of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), gave information that he would join the activity and would announce the escalation of the rally to the media at 4:00 p.m. today.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Atthaporn Wongsiripreeda, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 1, revealed that for safety measures, police officers have already deployed forces to take care of both safety and traffic. It is known that today’s rally will not have many activities because it is a holiday for Government House, so no one comes to work. As for the large rally on June 28, the police have already held a meeting to discuss the deployment of forces to take care of the people.
