Paethongtarn Addresses Disagreements Among Coalition Parties Without Concern

Bangkok: “Paethongtarn” has openly acknowledged that coalition parties are experiencing disagreements on numerous issues, but she assures that these are not leading to any breakups or conflicts. Instead, she emphasizes the importance of adjustments and increased understanding among the parties involved. When asked by the media about potential changes in the prime ministership, she humorously replied, “Don’t get tired of each other yet.”

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra discussed the government’s ongoing efforts to address various problems, acknowledging the presence of conflicts within coalition parties, particularly between the Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai parties. She stated that differing opinions among political parties are normal and do not signify division or conflict. In her view, these disagreements can lead to a stronger coalition as they foster better understanding when resolved.

Regarding former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s assertion that there will be no change in the Prime Minister for the remainder of the government’s term, Paethongtarn responded to inquiries about the origins of this signal by humorously suggesting that it might be a media-created narrative. She playfully added, “Don’t get bored yet. If there is, you can tell me,” indicating her relaxed stance on the matter.
