Bangkok: Anusorn Eiamsa-ard, a party-list MP for the Pheu Thai Party, conveyed his belief in the continued strength and unity of the ‘Paethongtarn’ government, despite changes within the coalition.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anusorn emphasized that all original coalition parties, with the exception of the Bhumjaithai Party, remain committed to supporting Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra’s administration. He stressed the urgency of moving Thailand forward due to existing crises.
Mr. Anusorn expressed confidence that the government could transform these challenges into opportunities across various dimensions, including security, economy, and politics. He noted that the absence of a government is not an option for the country. Although the Bhumjaithai Party’s withdrawal presents a shift, he believes that Prime Minister Paethongtarn will effectively reorganize the cabinet with capable professionals to achieve significant results in the remaining two years of the government’s term.
Highlighting the potential benefits of new ministers, Mr. Anusorn suggested that fresh perspectives and management approaches could enhance government performance. He urged citizens to have confidence in the administration’s ability to progress, irrespective of the coalition’s size. He underscored that quality of governance is of greater importance than the number of supporting parties, and emphasized that improving performance is critical to leading the nation out of its current crisis.
Mr. Anusorn concluded, asserting that with the steadfast backing of the coalition parties, the Pheu Thai Party is prepared to advance with strength, stability, and unity to address the country’s challenges effectively.
