“Paethongtarn” is about to visit Laos to attend the ASEAN Summit.

Paetongtarn” thanks Time for naming her as one of the most influential leaders of the future after making history as the youngest female prime minister in Asia. She revealed that she will be bringing Thailand to the ASEAN Summit in Laos on Tuesday.

Jirayu Huangsap, advisor to the Prime Minister, revealed that the ASEAN Summit to be held in Vientiane this week is particularly lively after foreign media outlets showed interest in Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the Thai Prime Minister, who was ranked by TIME magazine as one of the most influential people of the future (Time 100 Next) this year. The ranking is divided into 5 categories: Leaders, Artists, Phenomenons, Innovators, and Advocates. The Thai Prime Minister was ranked in the “Leaders” category, with Ms. Paetongtarn being the youngest female Prime Minister in Asia.

“TIME stated that the Thai Prime Minister has made history by becoming the Prime Minister at the age of 38. And just 1 month into her administration, she has attracted attention from the media
in the ASEAN region as the youngest leader who is expected to drive new economic policies for Thailand. The Thai Prime Minister once told TIME magazine last year that “Thailand needs change.” The media saw from her administration during the month of the flood and storm crisis that the Prime Minister visited the area many times and had leadership skills, working closely with the people during the school bus fire tragedy, causing the opinion poll of the Thai polling office for the Prime Minister to rise to number one this month.”

On the world stage, Ms. Paethongtarn also received media attention during the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) leaders’ meeting in Doha, Qatar last week, where the media praised her vision, saying that despite her young age, the Thai Prime Minister has a clear vision and that this is an important opportunity for Thailand to move towards future development.

Mr. Jirayu also said that on Tuesday, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra will travel to the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits in Vientiane, Lao
PDR, from October 8-11. Many foreign media outlets have expressed interest in interviewing the Thai Prime Minister. This ASEAN Summit will focus on bilateral discussions and cooperation among member countries to strengthen the ASEAN community in all dimensions, including confronting economic, social, and geopolitical development problems in the world, so that Thailand can become a leader in the ASEAN region soon.
