Palang Pracharath Party Stands Firm Against Amnesty Bills

Bangkok: The Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) has reiterated its resolution to oppose any amnesty bills being considered by the House of Representatives. Mr. Akara Thongchaisod, the deputy spokesman of the PPRP, confirmed that the party, under the leadership of Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, will not accept any of the draft amnesty bills scheduled for discussion in the House tomorrow.

According to Thai News Agency, the House of Representatives had previously considered five draft amnesty bills on July 9, 2025. The session, however, was cut short by Mr. Pichet Chueamuangphan, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who adjourned the meeting at 5:09 p.m. despite ongoing debates. The discussion on the amnesty bills has been rescheduled for July 16, 2025, following the abrupt closure.
