HANOI: The Party Central Committee has appointed a new permanent member to its Secretariat, marking a significant shift in its leadership structure. Tran Cam Tu, a Politburo member and Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee, will assume the role, succeeding Luong Cuong, who recently became the State President following an election by the National Assembly.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the decision was officially presented by Party General Secretary To Lam during a ceremony held in Hanoi on October 25. Tran Cam Tu also serves as the Chairman of the committee’s Inspection Commission, highlighting his influential role within the party’s hierarchy. The appointment reflects the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership and maintain stability during this period of transition.
