Party General Secretary, State President Meets New Foreign Ambassadors


HANOI: Party General Secretary and State President To Lam held official receptions for the newly-appointed ambassadors from Thailand, Comoros, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Suriname at the Presidential Palace on October 18. The diplomats presented their credentials in a formal ceremony to the top Vietnamese leader, marking the beginning of their diplomatic missions in Vietnam.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the reception underscores the importance Vietnam places on strengthening diplomatic relations with these countries. To Lam expressed his hope for further cooperation and development across various sectors, emphasizing Vietnam’s commitment to mutual interests and international collaboration.

The Thai ambassador highlighted the longstanding friendship between Thailand and Vietnam and expressed eagerness to enhance economic and cultural exchanges. The ambassadors from Comoros, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Suriname conveyed similar sentiments, focusing on opportunities for partnership in trade, education, and sust
ainable development.
