Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Luong Cuong had separate meetings in Hanoi on July 26 with Chairman of the Central Committee of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) Shii Kazuo and Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) Leonist Kalashnikov, who is also First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs. The two guests are in Vietnam to pay respect to Vietnam’s Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who passed away on July 19 at the age of 80.
