Pattaya police hunt hot-headed youth who stabbed foreigner with an iron rod, injuring him


Pattaya police are hunting for a hot-headed teenager who used a sharp object to stab a foreign man in the neck, causing injury, after cutting him off and causing a fight.

Footage shows a Thai teenager fighting with a foreign man in the middle of the road near the railway in Soi Khao Noi, Nongprue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province yesterday evening (August 20). Witnesses used their mobile phones to take pictures before helpful citizens separated the two sides.

This incident follows a Thai teenager riding a motorcycle and a foreigner driving a pickup truck cutting each other off before an argument broke out. The Thai teenager then pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the foreigner in the neck before the two parties began punching each other.

After the incident, Bang Lamung Police Station and rescue workers inspected the scene and found Mr. Doblinski Slawomya, 58 years old, a Polish national, injured with a wound approximately 2 centimeters deep. Officers provided first aid before sendin
g him to the hospital for further treatment.

At the scene, a homemade weapon was found, a sharp iron with a triangular tip, similar to a sharp scraper, with a plastic handle, and blood stains dripping down. The police collected it as evidence. The perpetrator rode a motorcycle and fled before the officers arrived.

Initially, Pol. Col. Nawin Sinthurat, Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, radioed to intercept the perpetrator according to the description received and from video clips recorded by the public along the escape route, but there is still no sign of him. As for the motive, it is believed to have been caused by a conflict on the road. Therefore, he ordered the investigation police to search the area for clues and review CCTV footage along the escape route used by the perpetrator. It is expected that he will be caught soon.

The latest is that Bang Lamung police investigators found a CCTV camera in front of a key shop that clearly captured the perpetrator. The perpetrator was seen shouting at
a foreigner, claiming that he had been hit by a car since Central Pattaya. Locals in the area tried to stop him. The perpetrator was plump and wore a jacket and long pants.
