Bangkok: The People’s Party is preparing to submit an urgent motion regarding the Tak Bai case, with the statute of limitations set to expire imminently. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pakornwut Udompipatsakul, the opposition whip, announced plans to submit the urgent motion on October 25. The Prachachon Party has tasked Mr. Romdon Panjor, a party-list MP, with proposing the motion verbally. Mr. Udompipatsakul expressed optimism that the government whip would support the initiative, as the incident has fueled significant conflict in the three southern provinces, leaving residents feeling a profound sense of injustice, especially with the statute of limitations nearing its end.
