Pheu Thai Party Secretary asks to wait for the conclusion of the party executive committee this afternoon to decide on sending someone to be the Prime Minister, confirms listening to MPs supporting ‘Paethongtarn’

Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, spoke about the appointment of the core leaders of the coalition parties to enter the Chan Song La house yesterday (14 August) and there were reports that Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri was selected as the Prime Minister. He said that he was not present at the Chan Song La house incident, but admitted that it was just a discussion. He asked to wait for the results of the party executive committee meeting this afternoon (15 August) before deciding who the Pheu Thai Party will nominate.

As for the majority of MPs supporting Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, leader of the Pheu Thai Party, to be Prime Minister, Mr. Sorawong said that it must be considered appropriate. This morning, there will be a meeting of MPs before the party executive committee
meeting in the afternoon to restore morale and encouragement to continue performing their duties in the legislative branch. As for the executive branch, it is requested to be a resolution of the party executive committee meeting.

When asked if the MPs’ resolution supporting Ms. Paethongtarn would be able to fight the party executives’ resolution, Mr. Surawong said that they must listen to the MPs’ resolution, listen to all the reasons, and expect to be able to conclude this afternoon.
