Phirayanawin School Triumphs in Southern Thailand Youth Cup 2025

Songkhla: Phirayanawin School clinched victory in the Southern Youth Football Championship “PCE Southern Thailand Youth Cup 2025,” under the leadership of “Coach Yong.” The championship aims to provide a competitive platform for southern youth, promoting their development to a professional level. The first qualifying round, held in Songkhla Province, saw participation from 16 teams. In the final, Phirayanawin Klong Hin Witthaya School from Pattani Province emerged victorious against Khamphi Witthaya School from Yala Province with a 1-0 win.

According to Thai News Agency, the third-place match ended with Mahavajiravudh Songkhla School losing to Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization Pittayanusorn School on penalties (2-5) after a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Individual awards were distributed, with Lutfibusa from Khamphi Wittaya School receiving the best goalkeeper award, Kantathee Meherm from Phirayanawin School named best defender, Orakantasak Onbut from RI Phirayanawin School awarded best midfielder, and Sonthong Kaewpradit from Mahavajiravudh Songkhla School recognized as the best forward. The winners received shoe products from Wingz, presented by Mr. Putthipong Yangsathit, Head of Marketing at Petch Sriwichai Public Company Limited.

The event was supported by Petch Sriwichai Enterprise Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, including Wingz products, IMANE products, and Mikasa Industry (Thailand) Co., Ltd. ‘Coach Yong’ Worawut Srimaka, former Thai national team coach and player, chaired the competition management. The second qualifying round is scheduled for Surat Thani Province from June 14-16, followed by the international championship round in the same province from July 26-28. This format will see four teams from each qualifying round compete alongside teams from the Thai League and four overseas teams, making a total of eight teams in the international championship round.
