Bangkok: Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has affirmed that there will be no conflict between doctors and politicians regarding the situation on the 14th floor, following a medical professor’s support for the Medical Council’s resolution. He addressed concerns about a potential clash between the medical community and the political sphere, emphasizing that such conflicts are non-existent and are instead being stirred by media speculation.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham emphasized that the opinions expressed by doctors from various sectors in support of the Medical Council’s decision are valid and should not be misconstrued as political opposition. He stressed the importance of respecting each sector’s viewpoints, noting that discussions and actions will adhere strictly to established principles, regulations, laws, and necessary restrictions.

When questioned about the possibility of a dispute arising between the medical community and politicians, Mr. Phumtham dismissed such concerns with a laugh, reiterating that no such battle exists. He suggested that any perceived conflict is a narrative constructed by reporters, rather than a reflection of the reality between the two groups.
