“Phumtham” expects to finish this week the process of submitting the list of cabinet members for royal endorsement.

“Phumtham” expects the process of submitting the list of cabinet members to His Majesty the King to be completed this week, with a policy statement in mid-September, revealing details that are not much different from the “Settha” government, emphasizing the focus on solving the economic crisis.

Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Vejjayachai, acting Prime Minister, reiterated the submission of the new cabinet list by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, saying that as the Prime Minister had given an interview to the media, he was ready and would proceed according to the process, and it is expected to be completed within this week.

As for the government’s policy statement to the parliament, which was previously stated to be no later than September 15, Mr. Phumtham confirmed that if all procedures proceed according to schedule or are delayed no more than 3 days, he also stated that the content of the policy statement is no different from the policy statement during the time of Mr. Settha Thavisin, the former pr
ime minister, because this is a government with the Pheu Thai Party as the core. The important policies that the government campaigned on will be pushed forward accordingly, but there may be changes in the details to be in line with the situation. But overall, the goal does not change, especially in solving the economic crisis.

Mr. Phumtham also mentioned the clarity of the digital wallet policy, saying that he asked people to wait and follow the government’s policy statement and everything will be clear.

As for whether the project details will be specified in the government’s policy statement, Mr. Phumtham explained that in principle, the goals are already clear.

Mr. Phumtham also mentioned the case of the Bhumjaithai Party calling for the government to implement a medical cannabis policy, as announced in the press conference yesterday (2 September), saying that we will have to wait and see the government’s policy statement, but he believes that there will be no problems.
