Phumtham” as a representative of the government, gave a speech thanking the government’s policy statement debate to the parliament, accepting all proposals to consider driving the policy, even though some of the issues deviated from the facts, but it was considered an intention to see the country benefit.
At 01.06 hrs., after the joint parliamentary meeting held a special session to consider the government’s policy statement to the parliament according to Section 162 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, in which members had debated extensively over the past two days, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, represented the government in standing up to thank members of parliament, stating that he had come to express his gratitude for the cabinet’s policy statement to the parliament according to Section 162, not to express his gratitude for the no-confidence debate.
Throughout the two days of joint discussions and expression of opinions on government policies, the P
rime Minister and all cabinet members listened to suggestions and opinions from members of the House of Representatives, both opposition parties, coalition parties, and all senators, all of which were suggestions that were beneficial to the administration of the country based on the same intentions as various policies.
However, even though our discussions have deviated from the facts and sometimes from imaginations that go beyond reality, it is considered that all proposals start from the intention of wanting to see the country benefit. The Cabinet will take these facts and analyze them to find the best option for the country.
The government is ready to take the suggestions and opinions of all members into consideration in implementing government policies to be most effective and efficient. The overall picture of the government policies that have been announced is to improve the quality of life of the people and further develop, such as resolving debt throughout the system, reducing expenses and increasing
income for the people, solving the drug problem, and solving the call center problem.
It also helps increase the country’s competitiveness, laying the foundation for the future, such as promoting soft power and creative economy from the cultural base with the Thai way of life, reforming the civil service system, upgrading labor skills, and supporting the green economy and digital economy.
In addition to the policies mentioned above, there are also other policies, especially foreign policy, that are in line with and promote Thailand’s confidence in the international arena.
The government would like to assure you that the implementation of the government’s policies as announced to the parliament, which will help create equal opportunities for Thai people to have enough to eat, use, have honor and dignity, will be of the utmost benefit to our fellow citizens, which is the highest goal according to the determination of the government and all honorable members of this parliament.
