Phumtham Schedules Urgent National Security Council Meeting on Border Countermeasures

Bangkok: Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has called for an urgent meeting with the National Security Council to determine countermeasures for the border area.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thitiwat Adisornpunkul, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, disclosed that the meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The aim is to conclude measures in response to the recent situation along the border. Mr. Phumtham emphasized the government’s and military’s readiness to fully protect Thailand’s sovereignty and territory, ensuring that no violations will occur.
