Pichai’s sons and grandchildren fly from Taiwan to join in congratulations

The son and grandson of the “Minister of Commerce” flew directly from Taiwan to express their congratulations, saying they were happy to be on TV and looking at Grandpa, before taking a photo in front of the Thai Khu Fah building, preparing to enter the ministry on 11 Sept.

After the Prime Minister led the cabinet to hold a press conference after the special cabinet meeting, Mr. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, brought his family, including his son, grandchildren and daughter-in-law, to take a group photo on the lawn in front of Thai Khu Fah Building.

The grandson told Mr. Pichai, ‘I am glad to be on TV. I saw my grandfather on TV and thought he was cool, so I want to be like him.’ Before the grandsons introduced themselves as Elijah and Elisha, the grandsons had traveled from Taiwan to congratulate their grandfather because they were studying there and would be able to speak both Chinese and English. In addition, the grandson’s father had a brilliant idea and thought that Taiwan had a developed
country, so he believed that his grandson would be smart and talented, so he took him to practice.

Mr Pichai said he will travel to the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday, September 11, to get to know the civil servants and see their offices, but it will not be an official visit to the ministry. He will wait until the policy statement to the parliament is finished.
