Phuket: “Ploy Talay”, a new generation from Phuket Province, has officially applied for membership in the Bhumjaithai Party. Ms. Ploy Talay Laksami Saengchan, a former executive committee member and deputy spokesperson of the Democrat Party, made the move following a recruitment announcement by Mr. Sirapop Duangsodsri, Director of the Bhumjaithai Party.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ploy Talay, who once served as a member of the Wichit Subdistrict Municipality Council in Mueang District, Phuket, decided to resign from her positions in the Democrat Party on June 20, 2025. She expressed a longstanding interest in the Bhumjaithai Party and its modern policies, which she believes align with her vision for public service.
Ms. Ploy Talay stated her readiness to engage fully in politics and work towards implementing the Bhumjaithai Party’s policies, particularly those relevant to Phuket Province. She emphasized her commitment to addressing local issues such as tourism and traffic congestion, aiming to present these challenges to the party for future solutions.
Mr. Sirapop highlighted the increasing interest from the new generation in joining the Bhumjaithai Party, noting that many have reached out following their recruitment initiative. He praised Ms. Ploy Talay as a potential asset to the party, acknowledging her knowledge, capability, and dedication to serving the public.
After discussions with Ms. Ploy Talay, Mr. Sirapop recognized her potential to contribute to the party’s objectives. He reiterated the Bhumjaithai Party’s readiness to tackle Phuket’s development challenges and their commitment to delivering actionable policies. The party’s proactive approach, he emphasized, is a core value, positioning them to present strong proposals in future elections.
