Prime Minister Paethongtarn” is concerned about flooding in Chiang Mai, ordering urgent assistance for people and animals, monitoring the situation 24 hours a day, and preparing for recovery.

Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra posted a message saying that she had been following the flood situation in Chiang Mai with concern and had received continuous reports. Initially, she had ordered all relevant agencies to urgently provide assistance to the people and animals.

The Prime Minister also said that at 1:00 p.m., he was informed that the water had returned to the Mae Taeng River. Previously, elephants were transported to higher ground, but as the water level began to recede and there were no elephants soaking in the water, the plan was adjusted so that the animals would not be moved. Medicine was prepared and livestock officials were given close supervision.

After this, officials have deployed forces to restore the affected houses so that everyone can return to normal as soon as possible. All agencies
are also monitoring the situation closely, especially over the next 24 hours.
