PM Meets with Director General of Russia’s Rosatom on BRICS Summit Sidelines


Kazan: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Russia’s Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, during the expanded BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia. The discussion focused on existing cooperation and future opportunities in nuclear energy and technology between the two nations.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnamese Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Russia’s assistance in the design and operation of the Da Lat Nuclear Reactor. The collaboration has played a role in advancing Vietnam’s nuclear capabilities and contributing to its socio-economic growth. Additionally, the development of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre was highlighted as a significant achievement in their bilateral relationship.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Vietnam and Russia, particularly in the fields of nuclear energy and scientific research. The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to expanding cooperation in these areas, which are seen as
