Jakarta National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inspected the construction site for the new national capital in East Kalimantan on Saturday to check and anticipate any foreseeable disturbances and obstacles in the future.
According to Prabowo, the inspection was a form of the National Police’s (Polri) support for the new capital’s development.
“We want to know the condition on the field, and then we can help the construction progress so that it can run as planned,” he added, according to a written release.
During his visit, he directly observed the current conditions at the new capital’s site in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan.
“Of course, we want to know the condition directly on the field, regarding the schedule, whether there’s an obstacle or not,” he explained.
The National Police chief also gave directions to his staff to anticipate various problems that could arise during construction.
According to him, the presence of obstacles and problems during construction is inevitable.
“However, those problems can be resolved through deliberation so that, in general, there would be no significant obstacles in the progress of the new capital’s development,” he said.
