Police summon victims and perpetrators of car hood clinging case to give statements

Dusit Police Station, Dusit Police Station investigators summoned the victims and the perpetrators of the car hood clinging case to give statements and discuss compensation.

Dusit Police Station investigators called the perpetrator and the victim of the car hood clinging case to identify the perpetrator and report the damages. This was the first time the two parties met since the incident. They had an initial conversation and the investigators took a urine sample from the perpetrator to test for drugs.

The victim revealed that after meeting the perpetrator in front of the investigator, they talked to each other, which made her feel uneasy because the perpetrator’s demeanor was quiet and indifferent, unlike the day of the incident when he spoke to her. Today, he claimed that on the day of the incident, he was shocked and drove away. The investigator then asked the perpetrator if he would apologize to the victim. The perpetrator raised his hands in apology.

Today, there has been no discussion about the resp
onsibility for damages and medical expenses because the investigator must wait for the results of the doctor’s physical examination to compile the case. The victim said that the initial diagnosis found that her ribs were slightly cracked, so she had to stop working because the doctor ordered her not to lift heavy objects, causing her to lose 1,000-2,000 baht in income per day. As for the charges that are considered a crime, the investigator said that they are likely to be charges of causing bodily harm to others. As for the case of reckless driving causing damage to another person’s car and the hit-and-run case at Phaya Thai Police Station, which were reported separately, the investigator has not yet reported any progress on the case. Both cases confirmed that they will proceed according to legal procedures.

This case was a hot topic on social media last week when a post was made about a woman jumping onto the front of a white sedan to try to stop a car after the other party had rear-ended the car and fled,
causing the woman to sustain injuries. The incident occurred on July 24. After the incident, the victim immediately reported the incident to Dusit Police Station. Later, the police tracked down the other party’s car and found out that it was a man. They asked him about it and found out that the woman who caused the incident was a friend who had borrowed the car from Kanchanaburi Province to drive to Bangkok. After the incident, the victim reported the incident to Phaya Thai Police Station on July 26 because the car accident occurred in that area.
