Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin has acknowledged the resignation letter of Woraphat from his position as Deputy Minister of Finance. Reporters stated that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has acknowledged and signed the resignation letter from Deputy Finance Minister Woraphat Thanyawong. The resignation letter stated that, given the situation of being slandered with false information and the need for time to process legal proceedings to protect his rights, reputation, and honor, he has carefully considered the matter and believes that this personal matter could impact the overall agility and efficiency of the government’s missions.
According to Thai News Agency, Woraphat expressed that in order to reaffirm the principle of transparency and to enable the government to operate independently and free from any accusations, he has decided to resign from the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, effective from October 22, 2025 onwards.
Woraphat also extended his deepest gratitude to the Prime Minister for the trust and opportunity he had been given during his tenure. He expressed honor in having participated in driving forward important government policies for the benefit of the nation. Woraphat emphasized his commitment to uphold the rule of law and his readiness to support the government as a citizen, hoping to see the nation progress with stability and transparency.
