Koh kong: The Prime Minister is waiting to hear from “Big Lek” about the results of the GBC meeting to ease border crossing restrictions. Prime Minister Anutin requested to wait to hear the results of the GBC meeting from “Big Lek” before returning to Thailand, after agreeing to withdraw heavy weapons and relax border checkpoint openings.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the outcome of the first special meeting of the Thailand-Cambodia General Border Committee (GBC), attended by Deputy Defense Minister and Acting Minister of Defense/Chairman of the Thailand-Cambodia General Border Committee (GBC), General Natthapol Nakphanit, in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia. The meeting reported that heavy weapons and weapons of mass destruction should be withdrawn from the border area. He stated that he would need to receive a direct report from General Natthapol first.
When asked if border checkpoint openings were also being relaxed, Anutin stated that he had only received reports from various media outlets via Line, and that he could not refer to them until General Natthapol reported back. General Natthapol had promised him that he would call him to schedule a meeting upon his return to Thailand.
