Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul reported the ongoing flood and drug situations to Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra during a House of Representatives meeting. The meeting was held to discuss the draft budget bill for fiscal year 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin provided updates to the Prime Minister, who was traveling abroad at the time, regarding the flood situation in the North. The report also covered the government’s efforts to address drug issues, aligning with former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s previous statements about scanning villages to ensure they are drug-free. Anutin confirmed that these efforts are in line with government directives.
During the meeting, Anutin highlighted the seriousness of the flood situation and the proactive measures being implemented to mitigate its impact. Additionally, he discussed the Interior Ministry’s initiative to evaluate and monitor villages, with the aim of eradicating drug problems as ordered by the government.
