Prime Minister Orders Swift Restoration of Lands to Residents in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai


BANGKOK: The Prime Minister has directed the Forward Command Center to expedite the process of returning land to residents in the provinces of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, with a deadline set for October 27. This directive was announced by the government spokesman following a Cabinet meeting focused on disaster relief and recovery efforts.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangtrakul, the spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that the Cabinet had reviewed the progress of the Flood, Storm, and Landslide Relief Operations Center (FSOC) and its Front Office. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for urgent action in restoring lands to the local populations affected by natural disasters in these regions.

In addition to land restoration, the Prime Minister has mandated additional measures to assist flood victims across more than 50 provinces nationwide. These measures, proposed by the Ministry of Finance, include low-interest loans, rent reductions, support for farmers, and tax deductions. Th
