Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra Announces Extensive Travel Schedule for October-November


BANGKOK: Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra is set to embark on a series of domestic and international trips throughout October and November, with key engagements including the Greater Mekong Subregion Summit and the APEC 2024 leaders’ meeting. The Prime Minister’s itinerary highlights her commitment to both national and international responsibilities, with visits to address local issues and participate in global forums.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, outlined the Prime Minister’s travel plans following a Cabinet meeting. On November 1, Paethongtarn will visit Roi Et Province to assess the progress of anti-drug operations. This domestic engagement will be followed by international duties as she attends the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit in Kunming, China, on November 6-7.

The Prime Minister’s schedule continues with a visit to Sakon Nakhon Province on November 8, where she will partake in the Kathin robe offering ceremony at Wat Phra T
hat Chedi Chum. From November 10-18, Paethongtarn will travel to Lima, Peru, to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2024 leaders’ meeting, further emphasizing her role on the global stage.

Concluding her November engagements, the Prime Minister is planning a mobile cabinet meeting from November 24-26. The location, either Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai Province, is yet to be finalized. This meeting aims to review rehabilitation efforts following recent flood events, underscoring her focus on addressing domestic challenges.
