Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh Celebrates Great National Unity Day in Lai Chau

Lai Chau – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh joined the residents of Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district, in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau, to celebrate the festival of great national unity on November 19. This event marked the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), a significant date in Vietnam’s history, falling on November 18.

According to Vietnam News Agency, At the event, the Prime Minister addressed the local community, emphasizing the crucial role of promoting great national solidarity. He reflected on this solidarity as a precious tradition, instrumental in Vietnam’s struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as in contemporary national building and safeguarding efforts. He underscored that the strength of national unity has been a key driving force and a decisive factor in the victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

Despite a complex global situation with unprecedented challenges in 2023, Vietnam has achieved significant milestones in various fields, continuing to be a bright spot in the global economy. The Prime Minister attributed these successes to the comprehensive and timely leadership of the Party Central Committee, the support of the National Assembly and political system agencies, effective government management, international cooperation, and the active participation of the business community and people nationwide.

He expressed satisfaction with the recent advancements in Lai Chau, where the tradition of solidarity has been leveraged to exploit potential opportunities and competitive advantages, resulting in positive results in multiple sectors. The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the Party organisation, authorities, VFF committee, socio-political organisations, and residents in Lai Chau, particularly in Sa De Phim commune, for strengthening national unity and promoting socio-economic and cultural development, thereby contributing to the overall development of the country.

Prime Minister Chinh urged the local community to diligently implement investment projects on schedule, effectively execute national target programs for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, build new-style rural areas, and sustain poverty reduction initiatives. He encouraged active participation in emulation movements to build a robust national solidarity bloc.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented funds to the Party Committee, VFF, and people of Sa De Phin commune for the construction of “Great Solidarity” houses and the purchase of educational equipment for local kindergartens, primary, and secondary schools.
