During the meeting, he thanked the MPs for their hard work and successful maintenance of the parliamentary quorum. According to Thai News Agency, the meeting was attended by Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, along with ministers and party leaders. The Prime Minister conveyed his appreciation for the MPs’ dedication and efforts in parliament, acknowledging the significance of maintaining quorum. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude and encouraged the MPs to take pride in their accomplishments. Looking ahead, he mentioned the upcoming parliamentary session closure and the continued discussions required during this period.
The Prime Minister also announced plans for an official cabinet meeting outside of Chiang Mai and C
hiang Rai, scheduled for November 29 to December 1, 2024. He urged MPs from these areas to present local issues for discussion and resolution. Additionally, he encouraged MPs from the northern region to propose initiatives supporting tourism, aligning with the government’s existing policy. He stressed the importance of small group discussions to ensure comprehensive solutions for regional challenges.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister expressed his eagerness to attend events in every province, while acknowledging the practical limitations of his schedule. He emphasized the need to prioritize significant events due to time constraints. He assured that his attendance decisions were based on event content rather than personal preference, striving to balance his commitments across various regions.
