Bangkok: PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited has been awarded the title of Best Company of the Year 2025 in the Stock Exchange of Thailand at the Money and Banking Awards 2025. This prestigious accolade recognizes the company’s exemplary performance and leadership in the Thai business landscape.
According to Thai News Agency, the awards ceremony, organized by the Bank Finance Journal, was presided over by Mr. Sethaput Suthiwatanaruput, Governor of the Bank of Thailand. During his speech, Mr. Sethaput highlighted the challenges faced by the Thai economy amid global economic uncertainties and domestic structural issues. He emphasized the need for collaboration among the government, business, and financial sectors to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness and economic resilience.
Mr. Santi Viriyarungsri, Chairman of the Bank Finance Journal, explained that the Money and Banking Awards, now in their 18th year, aim to honor outstanding executives and institutions in the banking and financial sectors. The awards serve to motivate individuals and organizations to develop their potential and prepare for robust regional and global competition.
The ceremony featured six award categories, with a total of 48 awards presented. Notably, Mr. Chatsiri Sophonpanich, President of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, received the Financier of the Year 2024 award. Bangkok Bank and Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited were both recognized as Bank of the Year 2025.
Additional awards included accolades for Government Savings Bank, recognized as the Best Retail Bank of the Year 2025 and the Best Bank for Deposits 2025. Other notable winners included Kasikornbank Public Company Limited for Best Bank for Credit Cards 2025, and Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited for Best Company for Health Insurance 2025.
The awards also honored companies excelling in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and financial innovation, with Government Savings Bank and Kasikornbank Public Company Limited receiving these distinctions, respectively.
In the securities sector, Kiatnakin Phatra Securities Public Company Limited was named Best Securities Company of the Year 2025 for its exceptional performance. The event also celebrated outstanding mutual funds, awarding the Best Fund of the Year 2025 in 11 different categories.
