PTT – Navy Moves Forward with Safety of Marine Energy Transport

Bangkok: Royal Thai Navy moves forward with safety of marine energy transport, strengthening the country's energy security. Admiral Jirapol Vongwit, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, and Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Enhancement of Safety for Maritime Energy Transport Routes between the Royal Thai Navy and PTT Public Company Limited.

According to Thai News Agency, the agreement aims to jointly develop and promote coordination mechanisms related to securing maritime energy transport routes, covering both import and export routes of the country. The focus is on collecting and exchanging information between the Royal Thai Navy, PTT, and other relevant government agencies and private sectors, ensuring the process is quick and efficient. Additionally, the agreement emphasizes analyzing and assessing situations that may affect the transport routes.

This collaboration is seen as a significant step in elevating maritime energy security measures. It enhances the potential of the mission to sustainably maintain national energy security, ensuring the safety and reliability of energy transport across maritime routes.
