Rayong land official arrested for demanding money in exchange for land allocation


The Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Division (ACD) and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), arrested a land official from a branch in Rayong Province who demanded money in exchange for land allocation.

Today (6 September) at 11.40 am, Mr. Phumiwisal Kasemsuk, Secretary-General of the PACC, and Mr. Ekkachai Kasemsukthawach, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC, assigned Pol. Lt. Col. Sarawut Khamluang, Director of the Anti-Corruption Operations Center, along with officers from the PACC, to work with the Anti-Corruption Division and the National Anti-Corruption Commission to arrest two land officials from a branch in Rayong Province, one male and one female, for demanding money from victims of land allocation in exchange for receiving separate land title deeds, totaling 100,000 baht, or 2,000 baht per plot. This behavior has been going on for many years, as victims reported the incident to the PACC via the 1206 hotline, and the PACC has inv
estigated for more information, leading to the integration with relevant agencies to arrest the suspects this time. The PACC has taken the land officials into custody. Proceed with legal action according to duty and authority.
