Gen. Chitsanupong Rodsiri and Lt. Gen. Amorn Boonsuya jointly performed the handover ceremony of the First Army Region commander, with the commander of the First Army Region, the commander of the First Army Corps, representatives of the First Army Region subordinate units, as well as personnel from the First Army Region Headquarters also participating. In the morning at 5:15 a.m., there will be a ceremony to pay homage to the sacred objects of the First Army Region for good fortune. Then, at 7:09 a.m., they will sign the handover document of the First Army Region commander at the Phra Barami Pok Klao Room and perform the command handover ceremony of the First Army Region commander in front of the First Army Region Headquarters building.

ontent is that ‘During the 1 year that I have been performing my duties as the Commander of the 1st Army Area, I have received good cooperation from all my subordinates and colleagues. As a result, the missions of the 1st Army Area that were assigned by the commander were successfully accomplished, to the point that the commander trusted and was accepted by the people. Therefore, I would like to thank everyone on this occasion. As for the new Commander of the 1st Army Area, he is a person with knowledge and ability, a leader, and a good example for his subordinates. Therefore, I am confident that the 1st Army Area under the leadership of the new Commander of the 1st Army Area will progress, become the main force of the army, and be an important force in helping the people and developing the country to create happiness for our brothers and sisters and the country forever.’

When he finished speaking, he handed over the unit flag to the new commander of the First Army Area, which is considered the symbol of the
First Army Area and a means of support for carrying out important missions with consideration for the interests of the nation, religion, king and people.

Then, Lt. Gen. Amorn said that he accepted the duty and command, saying, ‘In my duty as the Commander of the First Army, I promise to do my best with responsibility towards the nation, religion, and monarchy. I will continue the work according to the guidelines and standards of work that the Commander of the First Army has laid the foundation for us to be even better, with the personnel of the First Army working together to the best of their ability. During the time that the Commander of the First Army holds the position of Assistant Commander of the Royal Thai Army, on behalf of all officers of the First Army, I promise to strive to perform the duties with honesty, sacrifice, and justice, as you have done in the past.’

Lt. Gen. Amorn Boonsuya graduated from the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, Class 27, and Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy,
Class 38. He has held important government positions such as the commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, King’s Guard, the commander of the 21st Infantry Regiment, King’s Guard, the commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, King’s Guard, and has served in the field as the commander of the Ta Phraya Special Operations Unit, Burapha Forces, the commander of the 1st Army Area, and is currently the 58th commander of the 1st Army Area.
