Rescue workers brave floodwaters to extinguish car fire in luxury village in Muang Chiang Mai

A fire destroyed several cars parked inside a luxury home in a village in Mueang Chiang Mai District. The homeowner evacuated to another location because his home was flooded.

Officers were notified by residents that a car fire had broken out in the Palm Spring Village in Mueang Chiang Mai District. Rescue workers from the Chiang Mai Kuson Songkhro Association and the Maejo Rescue Association, who had set up a flood relief center near the scene, went to inspect the area. The area was flooded with more than 50 centimeters of water. Officers used a forklift to push through the floodwaters before driving a boat. When they arrived, they found a fire in the parking lot of a house. The cars that had been burned were one EV sedan and one pickup truck.

In addition, nearby parked cars were damaged by the heat of the raging fire. The first officers to arrive helped scoop up water to put out the fire before coordinating portable fire extinguishing equipment to spray and control the fire until it was extinguished.

e homeowner has evacuated the house because the house was flooded and cannot be lived in. This morning (October 7), police officers will travel to inspect the scene along with forensic officers to find the exact cause of the fire.
