Rescuers braved the floodwaters to save a woman trapped in a tree in the middle of the San Pa Tong forest.

Rescue teams and the Ruamkatanyu Foundation braved the current to help a 67-year-old woman who was stuck in a tree in the middle of the Sanpatong forest amid a strong current.

The Ruamkatanyu Foundation rescue team led by Taik Ekkapan Banluerit, a volunteer of the foundation, along with the Ruamkatanyu team and the Lampang rescue team, entered the area of ??Tung Satok Subdistrict Municipality, San Pa Tong District, Chiang Mai Province.

The first area where we went to operate was Dong Kam Village, Village No. 7, to help a 67-year-old woman. We asked her how she got stuck in the tree. We learned that she tried to swim out after being hit by high floodwaters. However, while she was swimming out, she was swept away by the current and stuck in a tree in the middle of a dense forest in the dark. Fortunately, she had her phone with her and was able to escape the water. She called for help, but the rescue was difficult because she had to use a rope system and the expertise of the rescuers. They slowly pulled the r
ope and followed her closely amidst the strong currents. There was also a small rubber boat waiting at a point where the boat could not go. It took almost 2 hours to safely rescue her.
