BANGKOK: The Royal Thai Air Force has emerged victorious in the 2024 Red Cross Fair Shop Contest, winning the government agency category. The accolade was presented to Air Chief Marshal Panphakdi Pattanakul, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn during the Red Cross Day opening ceremony at Lumphini Park.
According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Thai Air Force’s participation in the contest was themed ‘Soldiers of the King, Driving Giant Birds from the Sky for the People of the Nation.’ The presentation highlighted the biography and royal duties of the King, alongside the Air Force’s mission to aid the public, through architectural designs that reflect the Air Force’s distinct identity. The structures were crafted to evoke the sensation of standing on Royal Thai Air Force grounds.
Visitors to the Red Cross Fair can explore the Air Force Red Cross shop and the Air Force Wives Association shop from December 11 to 22, 2024, between 11:00 a.m. and 1
0:00 p.m. at Lumphini Park. The attractions include affordable quality products, bingo games, prize opportunities, musical performances, and photo opportunities with a simulated F-5E aircraft. Additionally, there is a display simulating the EC-725 helicopter’s mission to assist flood victims in Chiang Rai Province and the Top Gun Fortune game with numerous prizes. Attendees are encouraged to conclude their visit at the Air Force shop for an enjoyable experience.
