Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has taken the initiative to lead Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) students in a nationwide volunteer activity titled “We do good deeds with our hearts” to commemorate the birthday of His Majesty the King on July 28, 2025.

According to Thai News Agency, the event was held at the Wannasmit Dome, located at the Military Student Center on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road. The Royal Thai Army, through its Territorial Defense Command, organized this volunteer activity with General Pana Klaewplodthuk, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, presiding over the event. He was accompanied by Lt. Gen. Watcharin Mutasin, Commander-in-Chief of the Territorial Defense Command, and Maj. Gen. Nithi Rattanawattana, Commander of the Military Student Center. They were joined by representatives from educational institutions and military cadets from the central area. The aim of the event was to express gratitude and show dedication to the public welfare.

The Military Student Center collaborated with the Military Student Training Center and Training Unit across 34 Army Regions, along with military academies nationwide, to organize these volunteer activities, which have been ongoing since July 16, 2025, and will continue throughout the month. The Commander-in-Chief also participated in a live broadcast of the activities from 4 Army Regions via Google Meet. He encouraged military students who were donating blood at the Territorial Defense School and participated in canal development activities at Wat Kunnonthiruttharam in Bangkok’s Din Daeng District.

The volunteer activities are part of a broader development program open to the general public, encouraging participation in local initiatives such as community clean-up, landscape improvement, water source development, and aid to the needy. The public can follow these activities on the Facebook page of the Territorial Defense Command Public Relations Center.

Throughout July 2025, the Royal Thai Army, alongside various military units, has been actively engaged in the “We Do Good Deeds with Our Hearts” campaign, aiming to unite the nation in loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty’s profound grace.
