Rugby Association of Thailand Confident in Women’s Team Winning Gold at SEA Games

Bangkok: Rugby is confident that the women’s team will win gold at the SEA Games. The SEA Games rugby team is confident that the women’s 7-a-side team will definitely win the gold medal, while the men’s team will also have a medal on their hands, with “Sunny”, a Netflix athlete, also participating in the competition.

According to Thai News Agency, “Big Ton” Pol. Lt. Col. Kunthon Prachuapmoh, President of the Rugby Football Association of Thailand, visited the training session of the men’s and women’s SEA Games 7s rugby teams at the Kasetsart University Rugby Field. Pol. Lt. Col. Kunthon revealed that the women’s team is in good shape overall. While some may have minor injuries, he is confident that they will definitely win the gold medal. Regarding the men’s team, he admitted that it is a very close competition. There are four teams: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It depends on the timing. He is very confident that Thailand will definitely make it to the top three. However, if the Thai men’s team makes it to the final round, he believes that they will win the gold medal.

Sunny Kerdkaew Wetchokittikorn, a Thai national rugby player and a member of the Thai team competing in the Netflix reality show “Asia’s Strongest Man,” revealed that he is currently training intensively to win a gold medal at the SEA Games. The Rugby Association of Thailand is preparing to request tickets from the State Railway of Thailand for children from other provinces to travel to cheer on the SEA Games rugby. The association has also arranged accommodation for the children. Regarding the field, the Royal Thai Air Force Stadium (Thupatemi) will be used.
