Moscow: An international seminar titled “Current Issues in Vietnam Studies” convened at the Centre for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies (CVAS) of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia under the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event, held on October 23 in both in-person and online formats, gathered Vietnamese researchers based in Russia, young scientists from Vietnam and China, and experts from various specialized fields. This seminar marks the beginning of a series of activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the two-day seminar featured 32 reports organized into research areas focusing on the history, politics, economy, and culture of Vietnam. The discussions aimed to delve into the complexities of a nation that is both modern and deeply traditional. Participants exchanged insights and explored the multifaceted aspects of Vietnamese society, enhancing academic and cultural understanding between the nations involved.
