Sihasak Appreciates Israeli Efforts in Recovering Thai Hostage’s Body

Tel aviv: Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkaew has expressed gratitude to the Israeli government for their efforts in locating the body of a Thai hostage. He has requested the expedited return of the body to Thailand to allow the family to perform necessary religious rites.

According to Thai News Agency, Sihasak communicated with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar over the phone. During the conversation, Sa’ar conveyed his condolences regarding the death of Mr. Sonthaya Akrasri, who was caught in the Gaza Strip conflict. He assured that Israel would extend full support and benefits to the bereaved family. Additionally, he emphasized Israel’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Thai workers currently residing in the country.

The Thai Foreign Minister extended his appreciation to the Israeli side and expressed hope that Mr. Sonthaya’s body would be returned promptly to his family in Thailand, allowing them to conduct religious ceremonies without delay.
