Sleeping in jail! “Ek Saitoe” latest court denies bail

Don Mueang Police Station, Police took “Ek Sai Toe” to the Ratchada Criminal Court to request a detention order. He still shows no remorse, saying he will be as cool as before, but not aggressive. He just found out that his mother was tricked into paying the bail money. The court recently denied bail.

At Don Mueang Police Station this morning, police took Mr. Ekkalak or ‘Ek Saitoe’, 42 years old, in for questioning before taking him in a detention vehicle to request the Ratchada Criminal Court’s permission to detain him for the first time on charges of armed robbery. At the end of the petition, the investigator requested to object to bail because the suspect has repeated incidents and caused trouble to others. The investigator will provide a description of the behavior so that the court can consider the severity and impact on the general public. It is believed that this will certainly have an effect on the court’s consideration because the punishment for past offenders, if found to have committed the offens
e repeatedly, the court will consider it important in its consideration.

During the time that the officers were taking “Ek Saitoe” into the custody vehicle, he still showed no remorse. The media greeted him and asked him questions such as how he spent the night in jail and if he would still be as cool as before. “Ek Saitoe” replied that he would be as cool as before, but would not be too forward. When asked if he had heard the news that his mother had been tricked by a call center gang into giving her bail money, he replied that he had just found out. His friends had told him this morning.

Meanwhile, ‘Ek Saitoe’ was searched by officers with a search warrant from the Criminal Court yesterday morning to search his house in a village in Don Mueang District, Bangkok, for illegal items after receiving complaints from villagers who said that they often suffered and felt afraid from ‘Ek Saitoe’ who liked to live-stream gun shows and caused disturbances and annoyances, walking around the village, such as parking h
is pickup truck to block the way of villagers, assaulting and robbing the village security guard, or reversing his car into his neighbor’s door and car, but refused to pay for the damages.

From the search, they were able to seize evidence of a BB gun, which ‘Ek Saitoe’ claimed was an unused gun and could not be used. In addition, they found a long knife with a cut head. There was also a victim, a village security guard who was attempted to be slashed with a knife by ‘Ek Saitoe’ to steal his wallet, ID card, bank book, and motorcycle book. He pointed out the documents that ‘Ek Saitoe’ had taken from a security tent near ‘Ek Saitoe’s’ house.

Then the police took “Ek Saitoe” in a patrol pickup truck out of the village. During that time, Mr. Ek found that a reporter he had previously assaulted at Don Mueang Police Station was also reporting on the news this time, so he shouted at him not to take pictures until the officers tried to stop him. He also came to scold and argue with the media that came to follow the
news. While he was being taken into the pickup truck, he gave interviews to the media and tried to clear things up. The villagers applauded and cheered to show their happiness that “Ek Saitoe” had been arrested. Some said they wanted the police to lock him up and forget about him.

During the interrogation, ‘Ek Saitoe’ denied the charges, but was charged with armed robbery because evidence was found that he robbed the security guard’s property early yesterday morning. Initial urine tests did not detect any drugs. As for the psychiatric examination, the doctor diagnosed that there was no mental illness. After the interrogation, ‘Ek Saitoe’ appeared calmer and apologized to the public. He confirmed that he would improve himself by not raising his voice and apologizing for causing fear in the village that his words might have been too harsh. He will not drive fast in the village and will use polite language with his neighbors. He has not made any promises about whether he will be able to do this in the future, b
ut he will try. As for whether he will feel remorse, he confirmed that he will not because he did not do anything wrong.

The court recently denied bail due to concerns that the defendant would interfere with evidence. In addition, the victim filed an objection to bail this time.
