Bangkok: Somsak Prisananantakul, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and father of Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Paradorn Prisananantakul, expressed confidence in the potential impact of the Bhumjaithai Party’s policies on the upcoming election. He emphasized that if these policies resonate with the people, they will influence the electoral outcome.
According to Thai News Agency, Somsak praised Prime Minister Noo’s ability to identify talent and noted that his appointment of Paradorn as Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office reflects a keen political insight. He also commented on the Bhumjaithai Party’s strategic focus on the central region’s expansion, highlighting Anutin Khanvirakul’s leadership. Somsak expressed trust in Anutin’s dedication, stating that regardless of the duration of his term, Anutin is committed to delivering results and addressing the people’s issues.
Somsak pointed out that the announced economic policies, especially those concerning energy cost reductions, have already resonated with the local populace. He believes that if Anutin assumes office, he will incorporate these campaign policies into his policy statement, meeting the people’s needs. Locals have shown interest in initiatives like solar rooftops and electric motorcycles, and Somsak is confident that if implemented, these projects will bear visible outcomes and sway the next election.
During an interaction with reporters, Anutin humorously remarked about the trust placed in Paradorn, responding to a question about his appointment with, “You should entrust him to be born, not to be trusted.” Somsak acknowledged the Prime Minister’s perceptive judgment, recognizing Paradorn’s potential despite viewing him through a paternal lens. He expressed gratitude for Anutin’s confidence in his son, which was reciprocated with mutual respect between the two leaders.
