Special Workshop on Cybersecurity Awareness to Combat Online Dangers Announced

Bangkok: In a bid to tackle the increasing incidence of cyber crimes, MCOT Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, has launched the ‘Exclusive Workshop: Understanding Cyber Trap’. This initiative aims to educate the public about online threats and enhance their digital security awareness.

According to Thai News Agency, the workshop is part of the ‘Sure Detective 404: Unpacking Cyber Trap’ project. Participants, including youth, teachers, and seniors, have been gaining insights from expert speakers across various fields. These experts have been shedding light on different forms of deception, such as financial, AI, magic, digital image, and cyber traps.

The event features renowned speakers from the Bank of Thailand, Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), and The Photographic Society of Thailand. Additionally, MCOT Sure Before Share Center and well-known magicians and cybersecurity experts are sharing their expertise.

Given the positive response to the initiative, the project has scheduled a special training session for the fifth time, offering more individuals the chance to participate. This upcoming session will address the ‘investment scam’ trap, with insights from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the ‘health trap’, with input from the National Vaccine Institute.

The fifth training session is slated for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the MCOT Public Company Limited Operations Building. The event is free of charge, and interested individuals can seek registration details via the Facebook page ‘Sure Before Sharing’. However, seating is limited.

For those unable to attend in person or seeking further knowledge, two new online courses are available on the www.surecology.com platform. The ‘Intensive FCDA101 Secret Detective Formula, Concentrated Edition’ offers a succinct learning experience for those with limited time. The ‘TRAP BREAKER: Super Course’ compiles expert knowledge to address all five trap types, enhancing comprehensive literacy skills. Both courses are free and provide a digital certificate upon completion.
